Frank, 93, died peacefully on July 2, 2010. His wife of over 60 years, Samie Silva, preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Tillie and John Sousa, Frank and Lynn Silva and Susie and James Merrill. He was a special Avo to 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Frank worked in the tuna fishing industry for over 45 years as a chief engineer. His faith in God, his enjoyment of travel and love of his family is how all will remember him. He will be missed very much. The Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Agnes Church in Point Loma on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Sharp Hospice in his memory.
