Antony Rodrigues, locally known as "Little Tony Rod," passed away on September 4, 2009, as a result of lung cancer, and was laid to rest on September 5, 2009, in Spain. Tony was born in Bridgeport, Conn., moving to San Diego County at age two, where he was raised in Point Loma. Tony is survived by his wife, Maria, and his two sons, Antonio and Garcon, all of Spain. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Mary Silva and Florence da Luz; his nieces, Mary Jo Metcalf and Debbie da Luz, his nephew John Silva, all living in Kentucky; his brother, Manny, and his most beloved cousins, "Freckles" and "Babe," who all reside in San Diego County.
