Dorothy Perry, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Dorothy was born on February 14, 1930, in Providence, RI. She was the daughter of the late Irene and Joseph Amaral. She has been living in the San Diego area since 2001 and most recently in the Rancho Bernardo community of Seven Oaks. Dorothy worked for the State of Rhode Island as a bookkeeper for 10 years until she retired in 1991. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and going to bingo at the Poway Community Center. She was a member of the New England Club and the Diabetic Club. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Day of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lori Budniewski of Poway, CA, and grandchildren, Sierra Day, Brian Budniewski and Eric Budniewski.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9th, at 10 a.m., at Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Saint Gabriel's Building Fund, 13734 Twin Peaks Road, PO Box 867, Poway, CA 92064.
