In loving memory of our mother and grandmother, Jean L. Medina. Born in 1931, Jean passed away on September 25, 2010 after a long battle with Mesothelioma cancer.

A native of Massachusetts, she moved with her family to San Diego in 1947. Jean graduated from Point Loma High School and went on to work in the optometry business until she married Portuguese fisherman and local businessman Raymond Medina in 1955. Jean was the most generous and giving person you could know. She touched many people's lives through her warm, loving, patient and understanding spirit. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, three children and three grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, October 1, 2010. Visitation at 12 p.m., service at 1 p.m. at El Camino Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to San Diego Rescue Mission, P.O.
