Our family was blessed with a beloved husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born in Taunton, Massachusetts, Larry came to San Diego at the age of 17 to pursue a career in tuna fishing. Shortly after he met the love of his life, Flo. Married for 57 years together they raised three daughters. Larry was a hard working family man who loved to deer hunt in the mountains of Utah and play poker with his family and many friends. He belonged to the Cabrillo Club #16 and dedicated his time, heart and soul to the S.E.S. Portuguese Hall. You would find him painting, on a ladder or joking with his friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Flo, three daughters, Cheryl, Patty (Joe), Sharon (Ray),five grandchildren, Trina (Anthony), Vanessa (Joe), Brittany, Raymond and Brianna, two great-granddaughters Alexis and Alyssa, his dog, Pebbles, Lily the hamster, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held June 4, 2008, at 9:15 a.m. at St. Agnes Parish in Point Loma. In memory of Larry, donations may be made to St. Jude Shrine. Papa was our hero! He will be loved and missed, but never forgotten.
