Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed suddenly on Sunday, January 6th, early evening of heart failure. Born in Oakland, CA, his family relocated to Point Loma at the age of three; where he resided for the remainder of his life. He attended Pt. Loma High School, in 1943 he joined the U.S. Coast Guard serving during WWII. After the Coast Guard, Lennard chose Tuna Fishing as a lifetime career. During his career, Lennard obtained his Masters License and was an accomplished Navigator and Captain. Lennard made numerous lifelong friends working out of America Samoa.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Georgine Drummond, survived by his wife of 59 years; Georgia; son Ted; daughters Becky Tallarida (Michael); Tamara Chagas (Richard), daughter-in-law Melanie Sardina and eight grandchildren. Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, January 11th, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1140 Evergreen Street, San Diego 92106. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to San Diego Brain Injury Foundation, PO Box 84601, San Diego 92138
