It's an annual tradition; San Diego's Festa do Espirito Santo takes place seven weeks after Easter Sunday. The seventh Sunday following Easter is known as Pentacost Sunday. For six successive Sundays, a weekly crowning takes place. The seventh crowning is the Rainha da Festa (Festa Queen). The families that are chosen to be honored with the weekly crowning are chosen the evening of the previous Festa. The weekly crownings for 2008 are:
