Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you know, Joe Falante, brother of Doreen Correia, Yvette Virissimo, and Odette Virissimo, has been battling liver cancer for the past year. He was diagnosed with liver cancer shortly after having survived a heart attack and having undergone extensive life saving heart surgery the year before.

Joe had responded fairly well to the initial cancer treatments. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned more aggressively and is now in his lymph nodes. He started a new chemotherapy treatment two weeks ago. He is currently receiving a special medication that is not covered by his insurance. The medication is very expensive but is highly recommended by his treating doctors and may ultimately save his life. Joe and his family are in good spirits and determined to win this battle. However, this situation has taken its toll on their finances. He has been unable to work for over a year and much of his current treatment is not covered by his health insurance. For this reason we are asking for your support.

You can help by making a donation made payable to “For the Benefit of Joseph Falante”. The donations will allow him to continue to receive his treatment without interruption. Any donation amount is well received.

Your contribution may be mailed to or dropped off at the residence of Doreen Correia: 3695 Cederbrae, San Diego, CA 92106. Doreen and her mother (Mimi) are scheduled to visit Joe later this month (on March 24) and we would love to be able to surprise Joe with some generous donations from his friends in San Diego.

Please feel free to pass on this e-mail to your family and friends. We thank you for your time and consideration to this very worthy cause. Joe’s family thanks you for your generous support and continued prayers during this difficult time.

Thank you,

Jeannine Francisco
