Over the weekend, Ed Rose and Co. put on a fish fry dinner to help support The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Old Town.PRESD had the opportunity to catch Ed Rose and his main helper Mario Vargas preparing the batter for the fish. Don't bother looking for his recipe on the web site, we promised not to give it away.
Close to 200 people came and enjoyed the meal, which included two delicious large pieces of beer-battered fried fish, a baked potato with butter and sour cream, a dinner roll, cole slaw, a drink of your choice and dessert.
If dinner and socializing with friends wasn't enough, there was also an opportunity to win a beautiful, hand-made, quilt as well. A number of the craftsmakers were on hand showcasing their artwork for those who wanted to start their Christmas shopping early.
